TRANS-2-HEXENAL light yellow liquid. Presenting a rich aroma of fresh fruits and clear green leaves. There are two isomers, cis and trans. Boiling point of 150-152 ℃, or 47 ℃ (2266Pa), flash point of 37.8 ℃. Soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol, and most non-volatile oils, very slightly soluble in water. Natural products are found in oils such as tea leaves, mulberry leaves, radish leaves, as well as in cucumbers, apples, peaches, orange peels, strawberries, eggnog, papaya, etc.

TRANS-2-HEXENAL has a fresh green leaf aroma and can be used as a blending spice for artificial flowers, essential oils, and various floral fragrances. Some derivatives of green leaf aldehyde are also spices, such as dimethyl aldehyde and diethyl aldehyde of green leaf aldehyde; Acetone alcohol (Qinghe alcohol) produced by hydrogenation of Qinghe aldehyde, and transhexene-2 produced by oxidation. TRANS-2-HEXENAL is also used to prepare raspberry, mango, egg fruit, apple, strawberry and other essence.
