Strontium chloride CAS 10476-85-4
Strontium chloride is white needle shaped or powdery. The relative density is 1.90. Weathering in dry air and deliquescence in humid air. Easy to dissolve in water, insoluble in alcohol. Losing four molecules of crystalline water at 61 ℃. Dissolve strontium carbonate in hydrochloric acid and concentrate to obtain needle shaped hexahydrate strontium chloride crystals (<60 ℃) or sheet-like dihydrate strontium chloride crystals (>60 ℃). Hydrates can be heated to 100 ℃ to obtain anhydrous strontium chloride.
