Potassium thiosulfate CAS 10294-66-3
Potassium thiosulfate is a colorless orthorhombic crystal. When heated, it decomposes into potassium sulfide and potassium sulfate without melting. Dissolved in water, the aqueous solution is weakly alkaline. When encountering acid, it decomposes and releases sulfur dioxide to precipitate sulfur K2S2O3·1/2H2O=196.34, Colorless monoclinic deliquescent crystal.
