Potassium Phosphate Dibasic is a white crystalline or amorphous powder. Easy to dissolve in water, the aqueous solution is slightly alkaline. Slightly soluble in alcohol. It has deliquescence and is easily soluble in water (1g is dissolved in 3mL of water). The aqueous solution is weakly alkaline, with a pH of about 9 in a 1% aqueous solution, and is insoluble in ethanol.

Potassium Phosphate Dibasic is used in the food industry as a raw material for preparing alkaline water for pasta products, fermentation agents, seasonings, leavening agents, mild alkaline agents for dairy products, and yeast feed. Used as a buffering agent and chelating agent. Used for boiler water treatment. Used as phosphorus and potassium regulators and bacterial culture media in the pharmaceutical and fermentation industries. It is the raw material for manufacturing potassium pyrophosphate.
