Neodymium(III) chloride hexahydrate CAS 13477-89-9
Neodymium (III) chloride hexahydrate anhydrous neodymium trichloride is a light purple solid that quickly absorbs water when placed in air and turns into a purple hydrate NdCl3 · 6H2O. Dissolve oxides in hydrochloric acid, evaporate the solution until crystals precipitate, cool in ice, filter, and saturate the filtrate with HCl gas.
