N Butyl Acetate CAS 123-86-4
Butyl acetate is a carboxylic acid ester synthetic fragrance, also known as butyl acetate. It is a colorless, transparent liquid with a strong fruity aroma. It is miscible with ethanol and ether in any proportion, soluble in most organic solvents, slightly soluble in water, and has a solubility of 0.05g in water. Its vapor has a weak anesthetic effect, and the allowable concentration in the air Chemicalbook is 0.2g/l. This product has a strong fruity aroma. When diluted, it has a pleasant aroma similar to that of pineapple and banana, but it has a very poor persistence. It exists naturally in many vegetables, fruits and berries. Butyl acetate is less used in daily chemical flavorings and is mainly used in the formulation of edible flavorings.

1. Coatings and paints industry (main uses, accounting for approximately 70% of consumption)
Solvent: Widely used in nitrocellulose lacquer (NC lacquer), acrylic lacquer, polyurethane lacquer, etc., to regulate drying speed and leveling property.
Thinner: Mix with acetone, xylene, etc., to reduce the viscosity of the coating and improve the spraying effect.
Cleaning agent: Used for cleaning spraying equipment and printing rollers.
2. Ink and Printing
Gravure/flexographic ink solvents: Dissolve resins and pigments to ensure ink uniformity and printing clarity.
Quick-drying ink: It is used in packaging printing (such as food bags, plastic films) due to its fast evaporation rate.
3. Adhesives and resins
All-purpose adhesive solvent: Used in chloroprene rubber adhesives, SBS adhesives, etc., to enhance initial adhesion and curing speed.
Synthetic resin processing: such as the dissolution of nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate.
