What is Mordant Yellow 1?

Yellow powder. Soluble in hot water and ethanol. Slightly soluble in cold water, propanol, ethylene glycol and ether. Reddish yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid, greenish yellow precipitate in dilution, yellow amber solution in concentrated nitric acid.
