Very insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol and oils. Natural products are found in jasmine oil and other substances.

Metal dihydrojasmonate is commonly used in many spice mixtures, which has good moisturizing effect and antibacterial effect, and is widely used in cosmetics and perfume industries. Methyldihydrojasmonate can be used in small amounts on lily of the valley to thicken and give a gentle roundness. It is also used in non floral types of Cymbidium album, Oriental type, and new type of cologne fragrance, with good results. It can be used in coordination with wood fragrance.
