Methyl cellulose is a long-chain substitute for cellulose. The average molecular weight of methyl cellulose is 10000 to 220000, and it is a white powder or fibrous substance at room temperature. It is non-toxic, non irritating, and non allergenic, with an apparent relative density of 0.35 to 0.55 (true relative density of 1.26 to 1.30).

Methyl cellulose is widely used in the construction industry, such as as as an adhesive for cement, mortar, joint debonding, etc. Used as a film-forming agent and adhesive in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and food industries. Methyl cellulose is also used as a sizing agent for textile printing and dyeing, a dispersant for synthetic resins, a film-forming agent for coatings, and a thickener. Alkali cellulose is prepared from pulp, which is then reacted with chloromethane or dimethyl sulfate in an autoclave and refined with warm water.
Usually packed in 25kg/drum,and also can be do customized package.
