Manganese dioxide is used as a de polarizing agent for dry batteries, a catalyst and oxidant in the synthetic industry, a coloring agent, decolorizer, and de iron agent in the glass and enamel industries. Used for manufacturing metal manganese, special alloys, manganese iron castings, gas masks, and electronic material ferrites. In addition, it can also be used in the rubber industry to increase the viscosity of rubber.
