Hydroxypropyl starch is a white (colorless) powder with good flowability and good water solubility. Its aqueous solution is transparent and colorless, with good stability. Stable to acid and alkali, with a lower burning temperature than the original starch, and more stable changes in cold and hot viscosity compared to the original starch. Mixing with salt, sucrose, etc. has no effect on viscosity. After etherification, the ice melting stability and transparency have been improved.
