Application of EDTA 4NA.2H2O

It is used as bleaching and fixing solution for color photosensitive material processing, activator of styrene-butadiene rubber, hard water softener, sequestering agent, etc. Tetrasodium EDTA has complexing ability to calcium-containing hard water in various pH ranges and concentrations, and the highest efficacy is when pH ≥ 8. It is complexed with calcium metal in a molar ratio of 1:1, and has excellent thermal stability in water, and will not decompose even in superheated water. It is a very effective hard water softener.
