Dioctyldiphenylamine CAS 101-67-7
Dioctyldiphenylamine CAS 101-67-7 is a pale white powder or granules, used in various special cables, rubber shoes, rubber floors, sponges, V-belts, synchronous belts, sealing belts, rubber rollers and other products.
Dioctyldiphenylamine can also be used as an antioxidant for polyolefins and lubricants. It has a more prominent heat resistance effect in chloroprene rubber. If used with the antioxidant TPPD, the heat resistance is better. It can also reduce the plasticity of uncured chloroprene rubber and reduce the shrinkage rate during calendering, thus helping to adjust the size of semi-finished products and improve the stability of chloroprene rubber during storage and transportation. Mainly used in tire manufacturing.

1. Lubricant additive: Dioctyldiphenylamine is a commonly used antioxidant in lubricants. It can prevent lubricants from deteriorating due to oxidation during use, extend the service life of lubricants, and maintain their good lubrication properties. It can effectively inhibit free radical reactions in lubricants, reduce the formation of sludge and paint film, prevent the increase in lubricant viscosity and acid value, thereby protecting the normal operation of mechanical equipment such as engines and improving the reliability and efficiency of equipment.
2. Rubber antioxidant: In the rubber industry, Dioctyldiphenylamine is widely used as an antioxidant to improve the aging resistance of rubber products. It can prevent rubber from aging and degradation due to factors such as oxygen, ozone, heat and light during long-term use, and extend the service life of rubber products. For example, tires, rubber seals, hoses and other rubber products are often added with this substance to improve their performance and durability.
3. Plastic antioxidant: Dioctyldiphenylamine is used in the plastics industry. As an antioxidant, it can prevent plastics from oxidative degradation during processing and use. It can capture free radicals generated in plastics and inhibit the oxidation reaction, thereby maintaining the physical properties, appearance and color stability of plastics, improving the quality and service life of plastic products, and is commonly used in a variety of plastic materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and polystyrene.
4. Fuel additives: Dioctyldiphenylamine can be used as an antioxidant additive for fuels. When added to gasoline, diesel and other fuels, it can prevent the fuel from oxidizing and deteriorating during storage and use, reduce the formation of colloids and precipitation, maintain the cleanliness and stability of the fuel, improve the combustion efficiency of the fuel, reduce engine carbon deposition and corrosion, and extend the service life of the engine.
5. Other fields: In some special coatings, inks, adhesives and other products, 4,4'-dioctyldiphenylamine can also be used as an antioxidant, which can improve the stability and durability of these products and prevent them from deteriorating or degrading due to oxidation during storage and use. In addition, in some electronic materials and polymer electrolytes, it may also be used to improve the antioxidant properties and stability of materials.
