Crotonaldehyde is a commonly used organic synthetic raw material for the production of n-butanal, n-butanol, 2-ethylhexanol, sorbic acid, 3-methoxybutanal, 3-methoxybutanol, butenic acid, quinaldine, maleic anhydride, and pyridine products. In addition, the reaction between butenal and butadiene can produce epoxy resin raw materials and epoxy plasticizers.
