However, potassium hydrogen persulfate has much better stability under acidic conditions than under neutral conditions, and will decompose rapidly under alkaline conditions. The compounded potassium hydrogen persulfate complex salt is a disinfectant made from sodium chloride, organic acid, and potassium hydrogen persulfate monohydrate. In aqueous solution, it utilizes the special oxidation ability of potassium hydrogen persulfate monohydrate to undergo a chain reaction in water, continuously producing new ecological oxygen, hypochlorous acid, free hydroxyl groups, and hydrogen peroxide. The oxidation of newly formed oxygen and free hydroxyl groups can alter the permeability of cell membranes, causing them to rupture, thereby maintaining a normal protective layer and achieving the goal of killing bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses.
