7-Dehydrocholesterol CAS 434-16-2
7-Dehydrocholesterol is a white crystalline powder, a light yellow crystalline powder, isolated and extracted from pig skin. It can also be obtained by esterification, bromination, elimination, and hydrolysis of cholesterol. Melting point 150-151 ℃ (anhydrous). [α] 20/D-113.6 ° (chloroform). Exposed to air is prone to oxidation. A pharmaceutical intermediate synthesized by the saponification reaction of 7-dehydrocholesterol. 7-dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) is a 5,7-conjugated diene sterol and a precursor for cholesterol biosynthesis

7-Dehydrocholesterol is mainly used as an important intermediate for the synthesis of vitamin D3 and as an additive in skincare, sun protection, and cosmetics. 7-dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) is a 5,7-conjugated diene sterol and a precursor for cholesterol biosynthesis. When exposed to ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation, it contributes to the production of vitamin D3. 7-dehydrocholesterol is an internal standard for the determination of sterols and also used as other laboratory reagents.
Usually packed in 25kg/drum,50kg/drum,and also can be do customized package.
